1953 Mercury engine assy. Complete with starter, generator.even voltage regulator. No air cleaner or flywheel. I removed this engine from a car for future use in about 1970. Has been stored inside ever since. Engine ran but had a rod knock. Time to clean out the garage. Thanks for looking

And Bugatti, of course, is nothing without its past glories. Bugatti is nothing without its special editions, either.

Tue, 05 Nov 2013Joe Lencki built a DOHC straight six in 1939 that made an astounding (for the time) 417 hp. The engine was in cars that raced, qualified or tried to qualify at Indianapolis all the way up to 1963. It was an innovative monoblock design that, with those cam covers and cooling fins, looks even cooler now than it probably did 63 years ago.
