Fiat 500X Crossover teased on video – debuts at Paris Motor Show
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Fiat 500X Crossover teased on video – debuts at Paris Motor Show Just like MINI, Fiat has taken the retro-revival of the 500 way beyond the original, and now the latest take on the 500, and Fiat’s answer to the All4 MINI Countryman, is about to arrive – the Fiat 500X. The Fiat 500X is a butch take on the Fiat 500L, but the first (leaked) photo of the 500X (above) does show a car that’s less boxy than the 500L. Frankly, the video tease Fiat has released doesn’t show as much as the leaked photo, but instead focuses on teasing the 500X’s detail in between shots of a young woman playing on a swing.
2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible: First Photos
Mon, 24 Dec 2012We have the first photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible ahead of a reveal at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Bentley hasn’t done the official reveal for the GT Sports Convertible yet, so all we have are the first photos in all their purpleness (although the DVLA thinks this particular Bentley is black). Under the skin we expect the same W12 with 616bhp and 590lb/ft of torque which is enough, certainly in the tin-top GT Speed, to get the monster Bentley to 62mph in 4.2 seconds and on to 205mph.
More on Alfa Romeo's rear-drive strategy
Tue, 03 Dec 2013The revised Alfa Romeo plan that Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne is expected to announce next April focuses on a new, still unnamed rear-wheel- and all-wheel-drive architecture. A key aim of the new plan is to boost Alfa's global presence. "With our current segment coverage and our geographical footprint, we compete in about 5 percent of the global market," Alfa's European boss, Louis-Carl Vignon, said in an interview.
