This AUCTION is for the USED PAIR OF ORIGINAL 1940 FORD OPERA COUPE JUMP SEATS shown. THIS PAIR OF SEATS SHOULD BE A GREAT PAIR TO RESTORE FOR YOUR COUPE. THE WOODEN BASE LOOKS NICE ON BOTH AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THE OUTER FABRIC WAS WRAPPED OVER THE ORIGINAL 1940 FABRIC WHICH SHOWS IN PHOTO 3. THE SEATS APPEAR TO HAVE GOOD INTERNAL SPRINGS ETC AS THEY HAVE A NICE SHAPE AND GOOD SOLID FEEL. I AM MISSING ONE SPRING AND BOTH PIVOTING PEGS BUT THE REST OF THE HARDWARE IS ALL PRESENT AND IN GOOD CONDITION. No, this is not a tie-up between Alistair Darling and VW, it’s just Skoda’s way of offering a headline price decrease of a bit over 13% (less expensive to Skoda than last week for the same headline, to be fair, and there is a new model due in January!). Grab a VAT free Skoda Octavia I’m pretty sure that there will be a raft of these ‘VAT Free’ offers floating around on everything from cars to washing machines, capitalising on the fact the VAT is in the headlines.
Euro NCAP finds quadricycles had “severe safety problems”
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Euro NCAP has branched out from cars and crash tested a small selection of “heavy quadricycles” – small, four-wheeled vehicles that were originally developed from motorcycles that are sometimes also known as microcars, and don’t come under the usual car regulations. Although legal for use on the road, these machines do not need to achieve the same rigorous crash test safety standards as ordinary cars. But they are increasingly seen as a fuel-efficient urban transportation alternative, and some of them can be driven teenagers as young as 16.

Tue, 10 Sep 2013The Suzuki iV-4 Concept (pictured) has been revealed at Frankfurt The Suzuki iV-4 Concept was teased by Suzuki ahead of its reveal today at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And it’s a convincing looking urban SUV. Aiming to take a piece of the market from the Nissan Juke and its like – the ‘Funky Urban Warrior – the iV-4 is scheduled to be an addition to the Suzuki family, rather than a replacement for the Jimny or Grand Vitara, and fits below the new SX4 S-Cross in size.
