Canister/ mounting for an aftermarket bypass oil filter. Fits Fram C4 filter, may fit others as well. I do not know what it came off of or what it fits, but it's definitely a 40s-50s vintage. In very good condition with no rust, good rubber gasket, and brass fittings for oil hoses. Original paint color was a light blue/ sky blue (a bit of the original finish is still visible on the lid.

We had been looking to a price comparable to modern turbodiesels, but a senior executive has told us that the new 2012 Zoë ZE city car will be priced from just €15,000.
