New Hyundai Santa Fe Prices and spec revealed
Wed, 27 Jun 2012Hyundai has revealed prices for the 2013 Santa Fe, which moves upmarket with new looks and new pricing. Starts at £25,495. The new Hyundai Santa Fe (which isn’t the new ix45) seems a long way on from the boxy, almost utilitarian, current Santa Fe with its take on Hyundai’s Fluidic design mantra, now dubbed ‘Storm’, making the new Santa Fe look a much more premium offering than the current model.
Insurance group lists its Top Safety Picks
Wed, 22 Dec 2010After increasing its standards for 2011 models, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says that 66 vehicles--more than double the 2010 total--rate as best in the industry at protecting passengers from front, side, rollover and rear crashes. Only 27 vehicles qualified last year after the group, funded by the insurance industry, required that vehicles pass a roof-strength test to earn a good rating, claiming that stronger roofs would reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury by 50 percent in a rollover accident. The most mentioned carmakers on the 2011 list are Hyundai/Kia and Volkswagen/Audi, both with nine vehicles to get the Top Safety Pick designation.
Ford Verve Sedan, F150 (2008): first official pictures
Sun, 13 Jan 2008By Liz Turner Motor Shows 13 January 2008 18:48 The Mustang Bullitt GT is the cherry on top, not of a cake, but a pile of bread-and-butter products at Detroit that could save Ford. The Blue Oval has unveiled an all-new mighty F150, a four-door US version of the Fiesta-sized Verve concept seen at Frankfurt and a range of turbocharged direct-injection petrol engines, dubbed EcoBoost. Derrick Kuzak, group VP for global product development, told CAR Online that to truly reduce emissions you need a mass-production solution people can afford, and EcoBoost doesn’t need all the expensive and complex after-treatments for NOx and particulates needed by diesel to meet US regulations.
