On auction is an Autolite Model 2100 1957 two-barrel carburetor.  The carburetor will work on other years. The  carburetor is stamped: EDB   It is designed to run on a 292 cuin engine, automatic or manual transmission. This is a nice complete carburetor.  It is a little dirty, but should clean up easily.  All parts move freely including the idle adjustment screws.   The carburetor is sold as is with no returns.  Recommend having the carburetor rebuilt by a professional rebuilder. Land Rover has resurrected the Black & White Limited Edition outing for the 2013 Freelander 2 with extra kit on a Freelander S for a 600 run. Land Rover does like to divvy up a special edition at the end of the year to give car sales a bit of New Year impetus (and, if Land Rover’s recent sales figures are anything to go by, it certainly works), and this year we get the Land Rover Freelander Black & white Edition. Again.

U.S. is seeking a record $16.4 million fine against Toyota

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is seeking a historic $16.4 million civil penalty against Toyota for failing to notify the agency in a timely fashion of a throttle problem that could cause unintended acceleration, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said on Monday. The amount is the maximum penalty and would be the most NHTSA has levied against an automaker. The agency said Toyota waited at least four months to alert it of the potential pedal problem.
