CDN announces second edition of Car Design Glossary

Car Design New has now published the second edition of the Car Design Glossary. Designed to enable budding designers  - and those wishing to describe the products of the designer's imagination - to decipher the language used in automotive studios, the Glossary was devised by David Browne, Course Director of Automotive Design at Coventry University School of Art & Design. He created the compilation of terms as an academic piece of research and collaborated with CDN to help generate feedback on these terms from designers themselves.

New pictures of the Lagonda SUV Concept have been published by Aston Martin Aston Martin are in the process of attempting to revive the Lagonda marque, and had a bash at the Geneva Motor Show this year with a gargantuan Lagonda SUV based on the Mercedes GL. But it wasn’t well received, which considering how far away it was from how a Lagonda should be is no big surprise. It seemed as if Aston Martin had taken the hint on the Lagonda Concept as it didn’t stay the course at Geneva but was pulled from the AM stand and shipped back to Gaydon.

The Linclon Concept C - Lincoln's first C-Segment car? In what is probably the least surpring move by Ford the Mercury moniker has been consigned to the history books as Ford continues to rebuild not just its balance book but its brand. Having finally divested itself of its troublesome posh-badge crew of Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo, the only surprise is that the Mecury brand lasted this long.
