This a a 1960 Chevrolet Impala 2 door hardtop that needs a full restoration but is a pretty good start.  Please read the full description and look at the slide show which shows a bunch of pictures.  There is more to this car than it first appears.  Originally a 6cyl/3speed car, white exterior with a red interior and no options other than a radio.  It now has a 348 4 barrel and 3 speed.  The car came from Arkansas in 2010 and it has seen little or no road salt.  Somebody had started to strip the paint off the car so there are bare areas that have surface rust and some areas with primer.

The car is generally straight with rockers and floor supports that are solid.  The front clip is a replacement but is also a good solid unit with just some small pin holes in the front of the LH fender.  The trunk floor is good with some small holes but it will not need a full replacement, just some small patches.  The front floor pans have rust and will need to be replaced. There are some small holes under and in front of the back seat but they might be repairable and not require a full panel replacement.  There is rust in the top along the edge of the rain gutter all in areas that are hidden by the trim.  It also took a hit to the rear bumper just right of center and pushed the bumper into the body damaging the trunk floor and frame crossmember but all very repairable damage.  The quarters have the usual rust and the LH quarter was replaced long ago.  There is some rust below the rear license plate also.  The lower bumper valances are all good solid units that need some straightening but are good solid pieces overall.  There are a few other small dents and dings but nothing serious.

The original engine and transmission are gone but I am including a '60 348 engine that is a good rebuildable core.  I have torn down the short block and I do not see any cracks.  It has GM pistons and bearings and it appears to be standard bore and crank.  There is some rust on the cylinder walls and the crank but not too bad and no pitting.   The engine was pieced together and here are all of the numbers.  Block: 3755011, F 21 60, T0713F, Intake: 3732757, K 18 58, Water Pump: 3755797, B 16 59, Clean Head: 3758379, A 5 60, Dirty Head: 3758379, A 28 60, LH Ex Manifold: 3732793 F 7 60, RH Ex Manifold: 3732794 A 27 59, Bellhousing 3741311, F 19 58, Distributor: 1110948, 8 M 15.  The valve covers are very nice and a good oil pan is included.  The transmission is a '60 6 cyl unit with the smaller input shaft and lower 1st gear.  The engine and trans are mostly complete except for the carb, air cleaner, clutch, push rods, rocker arms, valves in one head and some misc hardware.  I have a good used clutch that I can include.  The fan shroud is an original 348 piece that is in nice shape.  The radiator is from an A/C, automatic car.

I have just about every piece for the car that is not available repro.  The only thing I can think of that is missing that is not reproduced is the trim for the rear armrests.  Most of the trim pieces are in good condition and will restore nicely including the hard to find 2 door pieces.  The front and rear bumpers and braces are solid and straight cores for rechrome.  The front and rear seats are both good solid cores to restore and the front seat is the original with the brackets for the trim.  The frame and suspension pieces are good and solid with some minor damage to the right front frame horn and rear crossmember as mentioned above.  The frame has surface rust only with no heavy pitting.  It has a front sway bar which is unusual for a 6cyl car.  It now has V-8 front engine frame mounts.  Five original wheels are included along with a nice set of hubcaps.  The wheels have surface rust on the outside with some heavier rust on the insides.  I have the original clear back glass and it has the usual scratches.  I do not have a windshield and all of the side glass will need to be replaced.  The window regulators, window frames and door mechanisms are all there and appear to be restorable.  The brake and clutch pedals are in place and a complete set of clutch linkage is included.  I do not have any paperwork for this car, which is why it is listed as a parts car, but it is easy enough to get.  You will get a bill of sale.  I have a few options for this car such as power brakes, 2 speed wipers, Cool Pack A/C and 3x2 intake that are available to the high bidder at extra cost.

I encourage bidders or their representative to come and look at this car prior to bidding.  I am located in Muncie, Indiana about one hour from Indianapolis or Fort Wayne.  This car is for pickup only but I am close to a  truck stop on I-69 and can work with your transporter.  Buyer is responsible for all transport costs and arrangements.  A $500 non-refundable deposit through Paypal is due within 5 days and the rest in cash when picked up which needs to be within 2 weeks.  Other arrangements can be made if you cannot pick it up this soon.  Feel free to ask any questions.  If anything is not 100% clear in the listing, please ask.  There pictures show pretty much everything.  Again ,this is a full restoration project but a good start on a worth while project.  I would like to see this car restored but if it does not sell complete, it will be parted out.  Thank you for looking.

Fiat 500 Abarth 500 R3T rally car (2009) revealed

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 02 October 2009 13:00 After letting it wither to nothing but the name on a set of spoilers in an accessories catalogues a few years ago, Fiat really is serious about the Abarth brand again. We’ve already had hot Punto and 500 Abarth road cars, the Abarth 500 Assetto Corse racer, and now there’s this, the Abarth 500 R3T rally car, unveiled at the San Remo Rally. Not quite.
