A MOST UNUSUAL OPPORTUNITY

This is one of many of my cars, that since turning 71,

my family has been encouraging me to sell

Dave Ridenour was a So Cal roadracer during the early 60's, and was the owner / driver of a Huffaker Genie with Olds V8 then Ford V8.

Dave had the foresight to recognize the coming of the  aero Coupes in Group7 ( ala Porsche 917, McClarenGT, etc), and during the 65/66 Winter he rebodied his Mk8 Genie/Ford with this beautiful custom coupe body, the only one of it's kind.

Unfortunately,  Dave was killed in a race accident in July 1966

His wife sold the car, and it was owned and raced on the West Coast,  until  eventually the coupe body was removed, and an open body installed.

The body has been in our shop for many years, awaiting a new chassis.  It is in very good condition, and in primer ready for completion.

The  Genie/Ford  logo on the hood was hand painted,

 and carefully retained during refinishing

The car was originally orange, then repainted dark blue by a subsequent owner

Windshield is an easily sourced 63-67 Corvette

the rear screen was plexiglass.

Copies of numerous papers and early pictures, including the wife's advertisement of it for sale, are included, as well as various amounts of pictures, etc,  regarding Genie chassis

With the 289 Ford V8, I have been told by one of the owners,

that the car was run at Bonnevile in excess of 200 mph.

The Boss gets booted from 2014 Ford Mustang

Thu, 08 Nov 2012

The track-ready Boss 302package for the Ford Mustang will not be on the options list for the 2014 model, according to the order guide sent to Ford dealers. The 2014 Ford Mustang will be the last of the fifth generation of the car. A redesign for the 2015 model is expected to arrive in early 2014, using a new rear-drive platform that includes an independent rear suspension and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine option.

Mercedes SLK-Class

Tue, 18 Jan 2011

The third-generation Mercedes SLK (now 'SLK-Class') will make its world debut at the Geneva motor show next month. While this all-new, third-generation model retains the overall proportions of the outgoing model, its design language is very different. Soft, subtle forms are out, particularly around its DRG, were a brutal grille, complete with bold chrome bar and star, takes center stage.

Still saving for a McLaren F1? You’ll need to try harder as they’ve hit £6.2 million
