  • Fits a 1966 and 1967 Ford Mustang with a 289 Engine

This is an original smog pump for a California emissions optioned vehicles.  It will only fit 1966 and 1967.  The 1968 had three holes for the pulley, rather than four as seen here.  This pump is for the 289 and will not work for the 390 or 428.

This emissions pump core is in fair, original condition.  This pump is locked up and does not turn.  There are not any cracks or other major damage.   It has a few minor scratches and nicks located here and there.  It also has some light rust stains and is dirty.  It will need to be cleaned, reconditioned and refinished.  There are three date coded units available, please ask if you have a preference before purchasing to be sure it is still available.

Please note:  This is a multiple quantity listing.  Since there are multiple quantities of this part, the item may vary slightly from the picture.  All parts have been inspected and match this item's description. Original smog pulleys are difficult to find and not all are reproduced.  Use this part to complete your classic Mustang restoration.

McLaren has launched a new website concentrating on the new MP4-12C Which is actually a good website. It has reams of good information and lots of images. I wouldn’t try using it from a dial-up connection, as it’s heavy on flash and imagery, but if you have a half decent connection it’s worth a play.

Dany Bahar’s restored V8 Lotus Esprit for sale

With Dany Bahar now ousted as Lotus boss, his fully restored 2002 V8 Lotus Esprit is up for sale. When Dany Bahar joined Lotus from Ferrari, he brought with him some grandiose plans – and an ability to spend money – that were ultimately his undoing. And it appears Bahar was a bit too grand to run around in any of Lotus’s current models as ambassador for the brand, instead deciding the way to go was a fully restored version of the last Lotus supercar – the Lotus Esprit.
