Condition:Used Brand:Ford

1967 or 1968 Ford Mustang hood hinges.  They are used and need a good cleaning and some paint, but appear to be in good condition.  The springs are good, I don't see any major rust or other problems.  These were not on the car when I bought it.  The production date stamped on the hinges are 11 22D8 and 11 9 D2.  If they are from parts car I took them from, the production date should be November 1967.

Buyer to pay actual shipping, I prefer to ship UPS rather than USPS.

How safe are new minicars?

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently tested a total of 11 minicars in its relatively new small-overlap crash test, and the Chevrolet Spark was the only one to earn an Acceptable rating. The small-overlap crash test was instituted in 2012 with the goal of better replicating real-life car crashes, most of which don't follow the pattern of traditional government crash tests. Instead of a car hitting a stationary object with 100 percent of its front making contact, the small-overlap test examines how a car behaves in a frontal impact at 40 mph where only a quarter of the car's front hits an object.

Toyota to close Australian design studio

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

Toyota designers at its Technical Center Asia Pacific Australia (TTCAP-AU) are to lose their jobs as part of Toyota's decision to scale back the facility's activities as well as halting all manufacturing within the country by 2017. The TTCAP-AU, which carries out all its Australian design and evaluation operations, employs 150 designers and modelers and it's possible that its activities with the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion models could be scrapped, raising doubts over its future. Around 2,500 employees at Toyota's Altona manufacturing plant are expected to lose their jobs, although the effects are likely to be wider ranging.
