I am retiring and its time to sell alot of the goodies my late husband and I have accumulated over the years. Up for sale is a 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix with built-in rear speaker Fader AM Radio. It has the built-In fader that lets you balance the sound between your front and rear speakers. The tag on the side of the radio says Model 02GPBK1. There is a note on the bottom cover of the radio that says "Serviced! Plays Good". We picked up this radio and alot of others over the years at various venues. I recently had it tested and serviced and it plays great up and down the dial. The case looks to be clean with almost no rust. All mechanicals seem to work as they should. All station presets also work. The nose, lens and pushbuttons are in good condition. The radio comes with  (2) usable knobs as shown that have some peeling. The center to center shaft distance is 6 l/4". I will be putting up more good radios from my late husbands estate for sale this week and next week. The radio you see in the picture is the one you get. Please read description and ask any questions before purchase. Buyer pays fixed rate shipping of $16.00  for USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Shipping (Lower 48 states only). I carefully wrap my radios in Bubble Wrap to insure safe shipping. I accept Paypal. Any questions, feel free to email me. Good Luck and Thanks for Looking!!      RA-705

Pininfarina Sintesi

Mon, 10 Mar 2008

By Guy Bird Motor Shows 10 March 2008 12:03 What’s new on Pininfarina’s Geneva Motor Show stand? Italian coachbuilder and design house Pininfarina showed another stunning concept at Geneva to follow the 2005 Maserati Birdcage and 2004 Nido. The 2008 Sintesi is strictly an ‘ideas concept’ imagining a future vehicle that can communicate with other cars to avoid traffic and accidents and thus reduce the need for current passive safety requirements – like longer and heavier front noses to meet pedestrian impact laws.

Volvo picks up Red Dot Design Award for new connectivity system

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Volvo's Sensus Connected Touch connectivity system with the world's first voice-activated integrated Spotify connection has been awarded a 2013 Red Dot Design Award. The Sensus Connected Touch accessory turns the integrated 7-inch display into an infrared, beam-scanned touch screen that can be used even when wearing gloves. The system can be controlled using the touchscreen, the steering wheel or the center stack, while you can also voice-activate all music sources. Alain Visser, senior vice president of marketing, sales and customer service at Volvo, says, "The Red Dot Design Award confirms that this approach to an intuitive, human-centric user experience fulfils modern car owners' desire to remain constantly connected also when driving." The WiFi connection can be made using either a car-mounted 3G/4G-dongle or the driver's mobile phone, and the data is transferred by the WiFi between the phone and the Sensus Connected Touch.

GM stokes El Camino gossip . . . again

Mon, 02 May 2011

Let the rumors of a new U.S.-market El Camino begin to swirl once again. It was Mark Reuss, president of GM North America, who opened the floodgates, commenting to www.drive.com.au, an Australian car site. “I've lived in Australia, and I've seen where fuel prices are $5 a gallon,” Reuss said.
