Vauxhall Insignia VXR (2009): first official photos

Today we have the first official photographs of Luton’s new cut-price M3 four-door. Vauxhall will have the sporting family car segment almost to itself – Ford no longer builds a Mondeo ST and most European rivals no longer bother with high-horspower saloons (excepting VW’s equally crazed Passat R36).

Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible likely

It looks like Bentley are planning a convertible version of the Supersports Bentley introduced the Continental Supersports back at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. A stripped-out (it only has two seats), flex-fuel powerhouse of a Continental, it is the quickest car in Bentley’s stable. It wasn't until recently that Russians understood that Chevrolet Corvette chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the patron saint of the America's sports car, was a Russian. Now, there seems to be intense media interest in this fact in a country that is waking up to all things automotive related. Arkus-Duntov's life and work is on display at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Center for Russian Emigres in Moscow.
