PIC#4 SHOW THE OUTSIDE SHEATH TO THE STATOR HAS CRACKS DOES NOT EFFECT ANYTHING ALL WIRES ARE GOOD. PIC#5 SHOWS SOME HEAVY SCRATCHES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FLYWHEEL ALL THE WAY AROUND IT. Sat, 28 Dec 2013Audi takes a dig at BMW, Lexus & Mercedes in new video commercials We’ve had a little spat between Jaguar and Mercedes recently over Mercedes’ Chicken Magic Body Control, with Jaguar’s Big Cat eating Mercedes MBC Chicken and now, ahead of what seems a likely airing in the Super Bowl advert slots, Audi is taking a pop at everyone. Audi are bigging-up the Audi A3 saloon ahead of its arrival in the USA with a quartet of commercials demonstrating the regret buyers have if they’ve already opted for a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus. We get a video on ‘Luxury Car Abstinence’, one of ‘Shame’, one on Buyer’s Remorse’ and one on ‘Lessons’ with the theme being that you should save yourself for the best – the Audi A3 Saloon – and not bother with the also-rans.

Wed, 15 Oct 2014The Porsche Macan locks its front brake in the Moose Test The Moose (or Elk) test is a maneuverability and stability test commonly carried out in cold countries to test the behaviour of cars when subject to extreme avoidance tests – such as when trying to miss a Moose that’s wandered in to the road. The Moose Test is probably best remembered as the potential downfall of the original Mercedes A Class, when Teknikens Värld Magazine conducted a test on the then very new – and groundbreaking – high-riding A-Class, when it rolled over and cost Mercedes a small fortune in re-engineering to restore safety credibility to the A-Class. Now it’s Porsche’s turn to come under the spotlight after Teknikens Värld ran a test on a Macan S Diesel that exhibited some strange behaviour during the test.
