This listing is for a Rebuild service on most 1998 to 2004 FORD MUSTANG ABS Control Modules. You are not buying the actual part. Known problems: - ABS light is always on or intermittent - ABS and Brake lights are on - Trouble codes for ABS pump, communication codes or speed sensor codes. Considering the massive amount of those ABS control modules failures we perfected a rebuild solution by repairing weak points and replacing parts with updated components that can withstand high pressure. Please, compare posted images of the Ford Mustang ABS pump modules with the one you have. Numbers and letters on the sticker may vary. You will send us your bad ABS control module (only the electronic part aka "brain box"). Please, do not send the whole unit - only the black box. We will rebuild it, test on the special test stand and on the vehicle and return it to you. No reprogramming is needed after repairs done. Please, note that not all the control modules are rebuildable. Installation instructions for DIY available, but it's recommended to do the replacement in professional mechanic shop. You can still drive the vehicle with the ABS control module removed. You're going to still have your regular brakes. We recommend to tape plastic around hydraulic parts that remain on the vehicle to prevent dirt and debris from getting inside the unit. Ford will fix software in Fusion, Milan hybrids
Thu, 04 Feb 2010While not labeling it a recall, Ford Motor Co. said Thursday that it will update the software of the regenerative braking system on some already-delivered 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrids and Mercury Milan Hybrids. An Associated Press report said a total of 17,600 Fusion and Milan hybrids will be updated.
