Automotive Brand Awards 2012 winners revealed

The Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupé and Volkswagen Up were amongst the winners of the 'Best of Best' awards at this year's Automotive Brand Awards. The difficult job of picking this year's winners went to a panel of representatives from the media, design and brand communications world along with universities and academies. The chosen few were: freelance journalist Masatsugu Arimoto; freelance author and journalist Jürgen Lewandowski and Head of Transportation Interior Design at Hochschule Reutlingen, Professor Andrea Lipp.

The Eagle Speedster – an E-Type Jaguar for the 21st century – in a new set of stunning photos in the South of France. We fell in love with the Speedster when Eagle created one for American doctor Rick Velaj and showed it at Salon Prive in 2009, and deeper still when Eagle revealed the Lightweight Speedster at last year’s Salon Prive, together with a set of photos of the Speedster that still adorn many a desktop at Cars UK Towers. Tesla Motors will launch its smaller electric sedan in late 2016, with a range of at least 200 miles and a price point "half" of the flagship Model S, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said. Musk's timeline, range and price announcement is the most definitive data so far regarding the so-called "Gen III" vehicle. The current Model S starts at $62,400, meaning the Gen III car will start at about the same price as the Nissan Leaf SV and have triple the real-world range.
