Lord Sugar leads roadworks campaign
Wed, 09 Oct 2013THE GOVERNMENT is to look at the better coordination of roadworks by utility companies after complaints by peers. Labour's Lord Sugar led the call for action at question time in the Lords with support from Tory former chancellor Lord Lamont of Lerwick. Lord Sugar, star of BBC television's The Apprentice show, urged "commonsense coordination" between the gas, electricity, water and telecoms companies.
General Motors to kill Daewoo name in South Korea, switch to Chevrolet
Thu, 20 Jan 2011General Motors Co., trying to position Chevrolet as a key global brand, is killing the long-used GM Daewoo name in South Korea and putting the Chevy bowtie on its cars there. The name GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., in use since GM took over the struggling South Korean automaker in 2002, will be phased out by the end of March. The new name will be GM Korea Co., the company said in a statement.
