VW will build small run of XL1 plug-in hybrid
Wed, 26 Jan 2011Volkswagen will begin production of its XL1 plug-in hybrid in two years. "We want to go into series production with this car starting in 2013," VW chairman Ferdinand Piech told Automotive News Europe on Tuesday at an event in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the 2011 Qatar auto show where VW unveiled an XL1 prototype. German custom shop creates vinyl wrap celebrating Ayrton Senna
Tue, 01 May 2012It was 18 years ago on May 1 that Ayrton Senna crashed his Williams Formula One car and died during the San Marino Grand Prix. German customizer Cam Shaft is celebrating the man on the anniversary of his demise with a new vinyl wrap for an old Lotus Esprit. Senna drove for the Lotus team from 1985 to 1987 in the notable black-and-gold John Player Special Lotus 97T.
Audi win at Le Mans – again

It’s a huge achievement to win at Le Mans, so hats off – yet again - to the incredible Audi team with another stunning win at Le Mans – the 11th time in the last thirteen years - and for their 2nd, 3rd and 5th place too. The winning Audi R18 e-Tron was the first hybrid car to win at Le Mans and was brilliantly driven by Marcel Fässler (Swiss), André Lotterer (German) and Benoît Tréluyer (French).
