Saab calls off deal with Chinese automaker

Saab parent Spyker Cars NV said Thursday that a strategic partnership deal with China's Hawtai Motor Group that would provide cash to help Saab turn around its business has been terminated. As a result, Saab may enter into a new strategic partnership with Hawtai or another Chinese party on manufacturing, technology and distribution in China, Spyker said in a release. "Since it became clear that Hawtai was not able to obtain all the necessary consents, the parties were forced to terminate the agreement with Saab Automobile and Spyker with immediate effect.

Lexus has expanded the CT 200h range for 2013 with a new entry-level CT 200h S and additional equipment across the CT200h range. Two years on from the launch of the Lexus 200h at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Lexus UK has decided it’s time to have a play and add a new entry-level model. JAGUAR’S stunning new F-Type coupe will cost from £51,235 when it goes on sale in the UK in the spring. The hard-top version of a car that has already taken the motoring world by storm will add a second model variant to the line-up, aimed not just at owners of the Porsche Cayman and even the 911, but also at previous owners of Jaguar’s own XK. Jaguar has used its media event at the Tokyo motor show to announce full pricing structures, with the entry-level F-Type coupe costing more than £7,000 less than the equivalent convertible.
