New Italian Supercars at Frankfurt
Sun, 20 Sep 2009Italian Supercar makers didn't dissapoint at Frankfurt, with new offerings from Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati Fotunately for those of us who love cars, the Italians would prefer to ignore whats going on in the world and instead concetrate on bringing four wheeled gourgousness to the car world. And we had new cars from the big three Italian Supercar makers – Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Lamborghini brought us the most extreme – the very limited edition Reventon Roadster.
Jaguar F-Type production threatened by unions
Sun, 13 May 2012Jaguar F-Type Production plans thwarted by unions Jaguar is attempting to up production at Castle Bromwich to deal with the new F-Type, but unions reject the deal. Just last week we had news that Jaguar are to invest £200 million in to their Castle Bromwich plant ahead of production starting on the new F-Type. As part of the Jaguar Land Rover plan to get Jaguar F-Types flying out of showrooms in the same way Range Rover Evoques do, Jaguar had brokered a deal with unions on working practices at Castle Browmwich to make sure they can cope with demand when the F-Type goes on sale.
NEVS completes Saab purchase
Tue, 04 Sep 2012National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS) has completed the purchase of the assets of Saab, but can’t use the Griffin logo. It looks like the Chinese, Japanese, Swedish Consortium NEVS has finally completed the process of acquiring the assets of bankrupt Saab, but it hasn’t quite got all it wanted. We reported last week that the process of acquiring Saab had been delayed as there were still issues over the rights to the Saab log, a logo owned by Scania and Saab Aerospace.
