426 Hemi Head--4 Valve,, A925 Project Chrysler Corp Mopar Cylinder Head .. on 2040-parts.com
Akron, Ohio, United States
You are viewing from Shepard's Automotive division of Hemi's Only a brand new cylinder head from the A925 Project which is a 4 valve per chamber dual overhead cam head. This project was started in 1964 by the Chrysler Corporation to have a Cam-Er motor in NASCAR. The "big boys" at NASCAR said "no" and thus ended the A925 project. There is one complete motor out in the system. There is just ONE head up for auction that comes with 2 lifter follower girdles. This head fits right on a 426 Hemi block. It is new and semi-finished. There are no valve guides and no valve seats; hence semi-finished. This head is extremely rare. to the best of my knowledge,,, there are only 3 known in the world. I purchased this head from a person in Products and Planning at the Chrysler Corporation... Let me tell you something------THIS HEAD WAS;NT GIVE TO ME----... I think,,with today's technology,,,,I think the other head can be made,,, then find some to make the cams,,,and ,,,produce a -4- valve,,,,monster breathing ,,,500 cu.in. hemi.... I think it would be fun......!!
You can contact Larry Shepard at Shepard's Automotive via eBay with any questions. All correspondence will be answered within 24 hours. If this needs to be shipped internationally, other fees will apply. Thanks! |

Porsche 959 prototype to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 11 Jan 2013When Professor Helmuth Bott arrived at the fledgling Porsche sports-car company in 1952, he was in his late 20s. The young engineer's first assignment was setting up a gearbox test stand for the company's new all-syncromesh Type 519 transaxle. Thirty-one years later, he gave the go-ahead for the development of a car that was to be the ultimate bleeding edge of what Porsche knew about building a rear-engined sports car.
CCS Ford Model T project
Fri, 13 Jun 2008This past semester, eleven junior-level College for Creative Studies (CCS) Transportation Design students were asked to reinterpret an automotive icon: the Ford Model T. Over the course of the 16-week semester the students created 11 different concepts for a Model T for the future without forgetting the underlying principle - creating an icon that would have equal significance and social impact like the 100 year old original. On April 30 each of the students presented their research, sketches, renderings and one- quarter scale models judged by Peter Horbury, Ford Executive Director of Design, The Americas and Pat Schiavone, Ford's Design Director for North America Trucks and CUVs. The winning concept, which the judges thought best embodied the spirit, innovation and sociological impact equal to that of the original Model T, was created by Dong Tran, of Cicero, New York.
Kia announces upcoming concept
Fri, 25 Jan 2013Kia will unveil an, as yet, unnamed concept car at the Geneva motor show this March. The concept, which the carmaker calls ‘provocative and racy', features a new take on Kia's signature tiger nose aesthetic that integrates the headlamps into the grille design in a narrow, full-width strip. The lamps themselves seem to be contructed of a pixelted, mesh-like light source.
