NOS GM ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY


Description:   VERY RARE!! Unstamped NOS GM alternator. This alternator is 50+ years old and Brand New and 100% NOS GM. It has never been bolted up or bead blasted. The aluminum finish on an alternator is only new once. Looks to be the 42Amp Alternator as it has the fan for the high Amp alternators. You be the Judge. Perfect for your 1100696, 1100669, 1100693, 1100629, or 1100742 alternator.

The diodes have the original ink stampings. Two positive doides have date codes of "5F30"(June 30, 1965)(One postive diode is not readable), and the negative diodes have date codes "5G28"(July 28, 1965), "5G29"(July 29, 1965), + "5G30"(July 30, 1965). This alternator does not have the rear mounting bolt hole on the back side, so can only be used up to 1968 on Chevrolet cars. The back frame has some oxidation on the aluminum housing(See last PIC below).

After 50+ years of sitting the grease in the bearings had dried up. The alternator was taken apart and the front and rear bearings have been regreased. It is now ready to install. 100% correct just waiting for you to stamp it with the correct date for your car. Someone is going to impress the judges with this one. Perfect for that special restoration.

We honestly had no idea that a Guinness World Record existed for the Farthest Reverse Ramp Jump by a Car, so imagine our surprise when we learned that professional skateboarder and MTV personality Rod Dyrdek set out to break that record at Six Flags Magic Mountain using a Chevrolet Sonic.
