This auction is for a group of interior switches and relays-all are used.

Taken from a 1969 Buick Electra 225, but some of these should be usable in other models or model years, also--check your apps before you bid.

Includes:

Two (2) Electrical relays. Both are intact and reasonably clean.

One (1) Ignition switch-this is mounted on top of the steering column. Appears intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean.

One (1) Neutral safety switch. Appears intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean.

Two (2) Turn signal/emergency flashers. Intact and reasonably clean.

One (1) windshield washer switch. Intact, moves as it should (including the wash function), and is reasonably clean.

One (1) gas pedal kickdown switch--intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean.

One (1) courtesy light (?) switch. Intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean.

Two (2) radio knobs. Intact, reasonably clean. One has the front/rear balance switch, which moves as it should.

One (1) brake light switch. Intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean.

Three (3) door jamb dome light switches. Intact, they move as they should, and are reasonably clean.

One (1) glovebox light switch/socket assembly. Intact, moves as it should, and is reasonably clean. The terminal needs to be removed so that you can insert your wiring/terminal.

One (1) fuse--I think it's 40 Amp. Intact, reasonably clean.

None of these switches have been tested, but were all taken from a dry, enclosed car.

Nice set of switches and electrical items for spares or to replace missing, broken, or severely corroded originals. Well worth the BIN price to get all at one time!

No reserve.

Dream Cars: yesterday's cars of tomorrow

Fri, 23 May 2014

Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas - to give it its full name - is an exhibition at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, which showcases yesterday’s cars of tomorrow. In other words, the cars of the future, according to automotive designers from as far back as the 1930s right up to the present day. These are the concept cars that gave designers the chance to dream of the future and push the limits of imagination and design.

College Exhibition: IED Degree Show 2009

Tue, 08 Sep 2009

Graduating students from the three-year post-graduate Transportation Design course at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy presented a tribute to the Aston Martin brand for their graduate theses. Called "Aston Martin 2025", 17 students in the post-graduate course - led by Fulvio Fantolino, IED's Transportation Design Course Coordinator - employed exclusivity, elegance, sporting style and the idea of sharing and emotion as their design keywords, developing a theme which ultimately saw 13 projects created in Alias or in clay. Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman provided the students with useful indications for the final development and a further selection led to the short listing of eight projects that were then produced in 1:4 scale models thanks to collaboration with Cecomp.

Mitusbishi Outlander GT – New York update

Fri, 10 Apr 2009

The Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept will go in to production - expect it in the UK in January 2010 Tagged as a Concept Car when Mitsubishi revealed the first information last week, it has now been confirmed that the Outlander GT will go in to production. It will lose a few of the Concept-Cutie bits, such as the ventilated Brembos and the Oz wheels, but apart from that it will be produced pretty much unchanged. I wasn’t too sure about the Lancer nose when it first came in (although it has grown on me) but it does suit the Outlander GT.
