True, it doesn’t offer the most dynamic drive in the world, but unless you are after a small car to chuck around with great abandon the comfort on offer in the C3 more than makes up for it. The particular car we had – the Citroen C3 1.4 VTi Exclusive – is the top of the trim tree in the C3 range, offering a lot of toys – such as the Visio panoramic roof, Climate and all-round electric windows – as standard.

The new Duster SUV, driven by CAR Online this month, is only one of a collection of new models that will be ready in time for the British launch. Last week we reported that as part of its ‘Big Turn On ‘ campaign to get the world ‘switched on’ to electric cars Nissan were going to have a crack at the world record for going backwards for a mile in a car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Which they did.
