This listing is for the REBUILDING of Bosch 5.3 and Bosch 5.4 ABS modules for the Oldsmobile Intrigue, Pontiac Grand Prix, Pontiac Grand AM, and the Ford Mustang (incl. Cobra and GT). The modules are also found in the Ford Mustang and Dodge Durango. This is a repair and return service. These modules commonly fail due to a factory defect, which causes ABS and other warning lights to appear. As a professional electrical engineer, I have identified the point of failure in these modules and developed a repair to both fix the problem and eliminate the failure mechanism. The ABS pump and control module are extremely expensive parts to replace [often exceeding the value of the car], so I am offering this repair service as a much more economical way to restore ABS functionality (a crucial safety component) and eliminate annoying warning lights. The symptoms of a failed module on an Oldsmobile Intrigue or Pontiac Grand Prix include: - ABS warning light lit on dash - TCS off warning light lit on dash - PCS warning light lit on dash - DTC error code C0550, EBCM malfunction (electronic brake control module) - Inability to communicate with the ABS module through diagnostic software If your ABS module looks like the one below, it is repairable! 
What's happening is that the ABS electronic control module is losing power due to broken electrical connections. If the module is broken, these symptoms will usually occur intermittently and progressively: they will start out happening every once in a while and progress to the point where they are always happening. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPLACE YOUR ENTIRE PUMP TO FIX THIS! All you have to do is remove the ABS electronic control module (ECM) and send it to me for repair. The ECM is not connected to the hydraulic lines of the brake system, so you can still drive your car while it is out for repair; you just won't have ABS functionality (which you don't anyway if your module is broken). This listing is for ABS module repair on Oldsmobile and Pontiac cars, but these ABS modules are also found on other cars. Feel free to purchase this auction if your car is in the following list, your module looks like the one in the picture above, and you suspect a faulty ABS module. If you send a module in and it is not faulty or is not rebuildable, you WILL NOT be charged anything except for return shipping. HOW THIS WORKS: Once you pay for the auction, you will need to send me your module for repair. You will need to remove the module from your car or have a mechanic remove it for you. Follow the removal instructions below. Make sure you package the module well (press duct tape against the bottom solenoids to prevent movement and wrap the module in bubble wrap). I will repair it within 24 hours and send it back to you within 1-2 business days. Upon receiving it, you will re-install it and the ABS lights should go away. You may need to clear out all the old DTC codes (usually not necessary). Removal instructions: The module is located behind the air cleaner (intake) housing on the right side of the engine bay in the rear; you may need to remove some parts to access it. Disconnect the large electrical connector in the front of the module (move white locking tab to left) Remove the 6 Torx T-20 screws holding the module onto the ABS pump. Pull ABS module off of ABS pump and disconnect the smaller rear connector. Please make sure that you have a BOSCH 5.3 or 5.4 module before you pay for this service! If your ABS module looks similar to the one in the picture below (yours may be smaller/narrower and have a black bottom), then it is repairable.  If your module looks like this, I can repair it! This is an unprecedented third year in a row that BMW has clinched the title of International Engine of the Year Award – in 2006 it was the M6’s V10 that took the title, and the M5’s V10 claimed gold in 2005. Other winners, judged by the panel of 62 motoring journalists from 30 countries across the globe, included Porsche for its biturbo 3.6-litre flat six (unbelievably, the first time Zuffenhausen has won an IEYA award), Toyota for the Prius’ 1.5-litre hybrid unit, and Volkswagen’s TSI twincharger 1.4-litre unit.
2014 Chevrolet Cruze Turbo Diesel to deliver 46 mpg on highway
Thu, 18 Apr 2013General Motors said the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Turbo Diesel will deliver an estimated 46 miles per gallon on the highway, besting the company's initial target by four mpg. The estimate is also good enough to top the rival 2013 Volkswagen Jetta diesel, which achieves 42 mpg on the highway. The Cruze's 2-liter turbo diesel engine produces 148 horsepower, compared with 140 hp for the Jetta diesel.
