As you can see in the pictures they have new bearings and are ready to install. They have been sprayed cosmoline to prevent rust so that will need to be cleaned off before they are installed. In addition to the new ILX small sedan and redesigned RDX compact crossover coming in spring, a tease of the redesigned RL flagship due this fall will be shown at the New York auto show in April. Then, the volume leading TL sedan and MDX mid-sized crossover are slated for 2013 redesigns.
Saturn alerts customers it is considering a spinoff
Thu, 19 Feb 2009Saturn has begun alerting customers that it may be spun off by General Motors as an independent marketing and distribution company. In a letter sent to about 1.5 million Saturn owners Wednesday night, Saturn said it would have to line up products to sell--either from other manufacturers or from GM in the role of a vendor--after GM's current commitment to build Saturn products ends after the 2012 model year. "The Saturn Distribution Corporation already exists as an indirect subsidiary of GM," wrote Jill Lajdziak, general manager of Saturn, in the letter.
Think, again: Norwegian electric-car maker looks for U.S. plant
Thu, 12 Mar 2009Think, the Norwegian electric-car maker, says it plans to build an assembly plant and a technical center in the United States. After financing failed in the wake of the collapse of credit markets in late 2008, the company entered Norway's debt-settlement process (the equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy), and production of its recently redesigned Think city car was halted. It continues operating under a $6 million interim funding measure while it pursues additional financing.
