Up for Sale is one Transmission Oil Filter Kit / set / pair for Allison Transmissions - two (2) filters with each kit - including gaskets. I recently picked-up these kits at a Military Surplus auction - Kit Part Number 23548988. These filter kits are NIB - "New in the Box" / New in Bag". This sale is for one Transmission Oil Filter Kit with gaskets only. This filter kit was probably made by a Filter a manufacturer for Parts Logistics LLC as a private brand filter - part numbers on the outside of these filters are WIX P.N. 557740XE - probably made by WIX. The cross reference guide lists that this Filter Element is a replacement for several brands of filters, including NAPA PN: 7740XE, Baldwin P/N: PT9415-MPG, and others, including FLK0211408, 081810DL, 29558118 and NSN Number 4330-01-425-7701, 4330014257701 - maybe others too. These sell of around $40 each (+ shipping) elsewhere, get yours here for less. I don't need these, just taking-up space in the garage, collecting dust. These filters are each approximately 3-1/8" diameter x 5-15/16" tall. Please look at these and be sure they will work on your vehicle or equipment application. Thanks for Looking. What you missed at the Detroit auto show
Wed, 15 Jan 2014Press days for the 2014 Detroit auto show wrapped up on Tuesday, and the sum total was more big reveals than we can shake a stick shift at. Production cars included the Ford F-150, Corvette Z06, BMW M3 and M4, Subaru WRX STI and the Porsche 911 Targa, while on the concept front we saw the Toyota FT-1, Nissan Sport Sedan and Kia GT4 Stinger just to name a few. Volkswagen Golf R 400 sounds like it means business (video)
Sun, 08 Jun 2014The VW Golf R 400 (pictured) on the move in Vienna The Volkswagen Golf R Concept arrived at the Beijing Motor Show recently, and it looked pretty much production-ready. So it was no huge surprise when we got news that the Golf R 400 is going in to production – although probably in limited numbers with a big price tag – and there seems to be more than a fighting chance it will actually get more than the 395 bhp (400 PS) the concept has. But even if the R 400 only comes with 395 bhp, it promises to out-do the current hot hatch champion – the Mercedes A45 AMG – with a 0-62mph of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 174mph, with all its power being put down to all four wheels through VW’s 4MOTION.
Jaguar & Land Rover eschew Detroit for Delhi

Although Jaguar Land Rover has revealed that it won’t be exhibiting at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show in January – instead it will be out in force at the Delhi Motor Show – it’s really not a huge deal. Motor Show exhibiting is an expensive business, and despite JLR’s strong sales, costs are a factor.
