This helps to prevent the alarm from being mounted without power. Portable: A picture frame leg allows you to use the Carbon Monoxide Gas Alarm at multiple locations. Fuel cell technology: The electrochemical CO detector and sensor is portable and contains a proton conducting membrane which generates a current in the presence of Carbon Monoxide (CO). This current is measured and processed. The results are then displayed. The sensor is more accurate, uses less current and is less sensitive to humidity and other gases than competitive models. BMW and Toyota announce diesel-engine, green-technology tie-up

But the redesigned Civic Hybrid, launched April 20, is the first test of whether Honda's new strategy of tapping lithium ion batteries and, later, two-motor systems can break the streak.
