T0001 is usually used in Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Topcoats. T0001 is also recommended for use in Quik-Grip Primer. Awlgrip reducers are chosen according to spray or brush application and anticipated temperature.

Use T0001 in AWLGRIP® / AWLCRAFT® 2000 Top coats when application and cure temperatures are between 60°F to 70°F (16°C to 21°C) and 80°F to 90°F (27°C to 32°C). At 60°F to 70°F (16°C to 21°C), T0001 will keep the paint film open for good flow but evaporate fast enough to provide adequate dry and dust-free times. At higher temperatures, the solvency of T0001 helps maximize atomization. Its fast evaporation rate allows the solvent to exit the film before skinning occurs, avoiding solvent entrapment or solvent "pop"

General Information:

All of the listed reducers for Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Topcoats can be blended with each other in any ratio to fine tune flow and
evaporation rates. Most Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Topcoats recommend upto 25% reduction. The reduction percentage is calculated
from the combined total of the base component and converter component. Mixing a quart of base and a quart of converter yields 2
quarts of mixed base and converter: 25% would be 1/2 quart of reducer.

Examples of total mix quantities for 1:1 and 2:1 base to converter ratios are as follows:

  • 1:1 mix products
    • Reduction: 25%
    • Color Base 12 oz.
    • Converter 12 oz.
    • Reducer 6 oz.
    • Total Mix 30 oz.
  • 2:1 mix products
    • Reduction: 25%
    • Color Base 12 oz.
    • Converter 6 oz.
    • Reducer 4.5 oz.
    • Total Mix 22.5 oz.

For specific reduction recommendations see individual product data sheets.

NOTE: At higher temperatures, reducers evaporate faster. When painting in hot conditions increasing the amount of reducer in the mix by 5-10% will help compensate for this factor.

General Motors' Chevrolet brand is previewing the next generation midsized Colorado pickup truck in concept form at the Bangkok International Auto Show. The venue was chosen to debut the truck due to the Thai market's prevalence – it is the world's largest market for midsize pickups. Despite being a show vehicle, the basic proportions and form are said to convey the vision for the next-generation Colorado, whiuch is said to build on Chevrolet's 'strong truck DNA and award-winning heritage.' With a design calling on the inherent strength of Chevy trucks, it is unsurprising to see the exterior boast a broad shouldered and squat demeanor.

Infiniti at Geneva: Infiniti M35 Hybrid (2011)

Wed, 03 Mar 2010

The Infiniti M35 Hybrid gets its first day out at Geneva Infiniti haven’t even got round to launching the latest M Line cars in Europe (and we didn’t even get the last version of the M) but they’re already showing the ‘Eco-M’ – the Infiniti M35 Hybrid – at Geneva this week. If you’re familiar with the Infiniti range of engines (which isn’t all that likely as they’re far from ubiquitous in the UK and Europe) you may be asking yourselves ‘Why M35? Surely the Infiniti would be the M37?’ And you’d have a good point, as the 3.5 litre V6 is the Infiniti engine out of the old M Line (which Europe didn’t get) not the new 3.7 litre (which it will).
