Condition:Remanufactured

Here for your riding pleasure is a fully remanufactured speedometer / tachometer (rev. counter), with work just finished by the renowned Terry Vrla.
Terry is what I consider the "affordable alternate" to Palo Alto Speedometer.
New needles, miles reset to 00000.
Everything working
Re-Calibrated
Bezel and glass in excellent condition.

For perfect accuracy, this is for a 33/11 final drive.
If installed on a 32/10, you would have to keep in mind that you'd be about 7% off on your readings. (see additional picture, borrowed from a blog on the inter-webs, for any clarification you may need on  application).

Fits 1969-1973 R50/5, R60/5 R75/5 or any R50/2, R60/2, R69, R69s 'CONVERSION' bike, using a /5 headlight bucket (one of which will be available in a near-future auction, so pls. be on the lookout for that).

It is incredibly tough to get a picture without some sort of reflection coming off this nice, clear and clean lens and it took about 50 tries just to get the 3 pictures that worked out reasonably well.
As you can see there is a bit of fading on the tachometer portion of the black dial-face and that's about it, as for "exceptions" in condition.

Cloud rises over diesel plan for Nissan Maxima

Wed, 18 Mar 2009

Nissan North America may postpone a V6 diesel engine planned for the Maxima sedan in 2010. Since the company revealed its Maxima diesel plan two years ago, gasoline prices have fallen dramatically, auto sales have collapsed and Nissan has begun reviewing product plans as it scrambles to restore profitability. "We haven't reached a decision on the diesel yet, but we have to consider where we want to put our capital investments," says Larry Dominique, North American vice president for product planning.

Enthusiast 3D prints an Aston Martin DB4

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

New Zealand enthusiast Ivan Sentch is in the process of 3D printing a 1961 Aston Martin DB4. Engadget reports that he bought a $499 Solidoodle 3D printer and has been working on this project since December 2012. Using a Nissan Skyline as a donor car, he'll make a fiberglass mold of the print and hopefully transform this thing into a drivable, street-legal car for a fraction of the cost of an authentic DB4.

Honda Civic

Tue, 13 Sep 2011

Honda has released the first images of its new Civic ahead of its launch today at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. The Civic's flowing exterior design is said to have been inspired by the ‘blended wing body' airplane, in which the wings and fuselage blend into one entity for improved performance. The designers have kept the sporty and advanced elements of the car's character but have adapted them to emphasize the dynamism of the new Civic.
