Bultaco Sherpa S Engine & Frame

Matching-numbers 1970 Sherpa S 125 engine & frame. Engine complete, all fins intact, but piston is stuck, will need at least a top-end overhaul; right-side cover showing small crack (see photo 10). Frame was powdercoated silver some time back, now showing some storage/transportation scuffs to bottom, left side of swingarm and rear downtube (photos 11 & 12).

SEMA releases guide to registering custom cars

For the first time in five years, SEMA released its updated 50-state guide to help street-rod, custom-kit and replica-car owners register them. Known as the Tag and Title Toolbox, SEMA's updated database has the administrative forms and proper terms needed when working with each state's motor-vehicle department. The paperwork for each state is compiled and organized, with hobby-related words highlighted for quick reference.

Reports from Italy say that BMW is in talks to buy De Tomaso, the perpetually failed maker of supercars. It’s long been rumoured that BMW has an interest in acquiring De Tomaso to give it a proper supercar brand to rival the offerings from the VW group. But, despite many opportunities to do so, BMW has never made the move.
