Land Rover LRX Concept gets a boost from UK Government
Wed, 11 Mar 2009The Land Rover LRX Concept, which was first revealed looks like the perfect route to go. But after a flurry of showings Land Rover has gone a little quiet on the project. It is reckoned that the project will cost Land Rover, and its parent Tata, around £300 million to get production ready.
Contest: Mazda Design Challenge
Wed, 17 Oct 2007The 'Mazda Design Challenge', launched September 27 exclusively through the social networking website Facebook, is enlisting help from Facebook users in the United States to compete to design a future Mazda 3. The winner of the contest will work with Franz von Holzhausen, director of Mazda Design in North America, and his team, to bring the concept to life, live on stage at the 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show in November. Contestants submitted a 150-word description of their vision of the 2018 Mazda 3 including an optional sketch.
Cadillac teases Detroit 2013 concept at Pebble Beach
Tue, 21 Aug 2012Cadillac teased a new concept car at the weekend at Pebble Beach to be unveiled in the steel at an unnamed American auto show early next year. We'll see you on the GM stand in Detroit then. During a press event Cadillac's Global Design Director Clay Dean said it was time for the brand to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time." There were no further details about what we can expect from the concept but from what we can see from these renders is what appears to be a further move away from the geometry of the Art and Science form language towards a more sculptural surface treatment intersected by sharp, precise creases.
