PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Neverox Rust Converter is a single component, synthetic resin emulsion that is cured by a chemical reaction with rust (iron oxide) to form a black, durable, protective barrier against further corrosion. Neverox is ideally suited to the following fields of application: steel construction and restoration, sprinkler pipe, steel fabrication, industrial field repairs, ship rebuilding, bridge repair, ornamental iron work, steel roof restoration, vehicle restoration, and protection for all types of machinery.

Neverox will also perform well on bright, clean ferrous metal substrates, as it requires only trace amounts of iron oxide to react. In addition to deactivating rust, Neverox doubles as an optimal primer to which most paints, urethanes and epoxies will adhere. Neverox is an excellent, stand alone, black coating for wrought iron work.

Neverox is water based and environmentally friendly. The product is welder friendly, non-flammable, and has a pleasant odor, making it safe and easy to work with.

Testing by such companies as Allied Tube & Conduit and Stelwire Division of Steel Company of Canada, has yielded excellent results on moderate to heavily rusted substrates. Adhesion was superior and no further preparation was required prior to applying finish coats of enamel.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Stir well before application using a drill mixer. Neverox should be applied at full strength using a brush, roller or airless spray. For rusted steel pipe or round stock, application by hand using a wash mitt is recommended to conserve coating.

For new steel application, all traces of oily residues must be removed. Washing with hot water and detergent or degreasers is recommended. For rusted steel, remove loose rust, oily residues, salt or acidic deposits. Neverox will bond well with tightly adhering rust. Tools can be cleaned with warm water and detergent.

SEVEN YEAR EXPOSURE

The section of steel “I” beam pictured above has been continuously exposed to the weather for the past seven years. It has endured rain, snow. ice and intense sunlight during that period. Temperatures during that period have ranged from -35ºC (-31ºF) to +38ºC (+100ºF). The original surface was typical mill finish with a small amount of rust beginning to form. A strip of Rustite was applied by brush, allowed to dry for 24 hours, and the sample was left to the elements. The black strip of Rustite shows no sign of rust breakthrough while the unprotected balance of the surface is now heavily encrusted with rust.

Return Policy & Problems:
If you wish to return an item, you must call within 14 days of receipt and obtain a return authorization. Returned goods must be in new, unused, unopened condition. Buyer pays return shipping. Returned items not shipped prepaid will be rejected and returned at your expense. A 15% re-stocking fee will be deducted from your all return credits.
