In 2006, Caterpillar started producing CX31 and CX28 automatic transmissions, which can be used in recreational vehicle applications. The CX28 has six forward speeds with horsepower up to 400 and torque up to 1,250 pound-foot. It matches up with the Cat C7 and C9 diesel engines. Outfitted with electronic control module, transmission uses J1939 communications protocol and delivers up to 400 hp and 1,250 lb-ft torque. Diesel drivers 'pollution penalty'

Major cities around the UK are considering bringing in low emission zones to force out older diesel vehicles that are responsible for higher levels of fumes, The Times said. Almost all diesel vehicles driven into central London will trigger a £10 charge under plans being considered by mayor Boris Johnson, who will also reportedly lobby the Government to increase road tax on diesel cars to encourage motorists to move to cleaner vehicles.
Nissan recalls nearly one million vehicles for airbag problem

The occupant classification system (OCS) may incorrectly think that the passenger seat is empty when it is occupied by an adult, failing to activate the airbag in a collision. Cars affected include the 2013-2014 Leaf, Altima, Pathfinder and Sentra, as well as the 2013 NV200, 2013 JX35, 2014 QX60 and the 2014 Q50.
