Audi set to buy Ducati for $1.1 billion

News wire reports in Europe on Tuesday said Audi is poised to buy Ialian motorcycle maker Ducati from owner Investindustrial for about $1.1 billion (860 million euros). Audi has reached an agreement with Investindustrial to buy the maker of luxury motorbikes, with VW's supervisory board set to approve the deal on Wednesday, said a person familiar with the details, who declined to be identified discussing the private negotiations. Audi and Investindustrial declined to comment.

Tanner Foust jumps a Hot Wheels truck to new record at Indy

Before the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, Team Hot Wheels yellow driver and three-time X Games gold medalist Tanner Foust broke the world record for distance jump in a four-wheeled vehicle. Foust dropped 10 stories down a life-size version of the iconic orange toy track and soared 332 feet through the air. College Exhibition: NID Degree Show 2009

Initiated in 2006, the post-graduate diploma program in Transportation and Automobile Design at India's National Institute of Design (NID) is the first program of its kind in India. At the end of last year, the university held its annual degree show showcasing the works of eight graduating students alongside works of junior students at the 'Design Street' at NID's campus in Ahmedabad. During their three year course of study, the students had an option of participating in a joint degree program between NID and Domus Academy in Italy.
