The Fairway Golf Collection by Classic Accessories is our most innovative and sophisticated program yet. Weve used technical fabrics from across the world to improve performance in all conditions including rain, intense sun and biting wind. In order to ensure a fit youll be proud of, we sent our designers to golf car manufacturers to measure, drape and account for every contingency. New materials like neoprene and quick-drying air mesh add softness and comfort to seating surfaces. Advanced features like oversized zipper pulls, reflective piping, removable doors and super-clear windows make this the most researched and feature-rich collection on the market. We know that our fabrics are the heart of every cover and enclosure that we make; that is why we go to great lengths to ensure that our products are crafted from the finest materials available. Were introducing proprietary fabrics like Fade Safe, a solution-dyed material that lasts much longer than our previous offerings. Available in our model specific enclosures, Fade Safe quick-fit covers as well as our Fade Safe & air mesh paneled seat covers this new material has been tested 15 times longer than our previous fabric and passed with flying colors. The biggest change is a switch in the construction, which now uses a mix of aluminium and carbonfibre to create a big increase in stiffness but a lighter structure.

Dramatic design on tap for next-generation model

    Mon, 15 Jun 2009

Jaguar’s next-generation XJ luxury sedan will incorporate design features from the C-XF concept first shown at Detroit, AutoWeek has learned. Although prototypes captured by spy photographers are disguised with BMW-style grilles, the face of the new 2010 XJ will feature Jag’s gaping square grille and a curvaceous body with a rakish, coupelike rear window. The final XJ incorporates slim headlights with double-projector lenses that are very close in design to those revealed on the dramatic C-XF shown at the 2007 North American International Auto Show.

Bentley future design competition held at Hongik University, South Korea

    Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Bentley has held its first design competition in collaboration with a university outside the UK. Director of design, Luc Donckerwolke, and head of exterior and advanced design, Sangyup Lee, tasked students at Hongik University in Seoul with designing a Bentley that would be released in 2040. In addition to looking to the future, students were asked to take the Bentley 'Blue Train' as inspiration: the car driven by three-time Le Mans-winner, Woolf Barnato, who, in March 1930, bet £100 that he could drive his Bentley from Cannes in the south of France to The Conservative Club in London in the time it took the luxurious Blue Train to travel from Cannes to Calais on the English Channel.
