Early to Mid 1968 deck lids do not have the provisions to mount the soft top hold down bumpers. The change to deck lids with the bumpers was made in the assembly manuals in late March of 1968. The deck lid is pretty much bare, only including the outer shell and the understructure. The deck lid is black fiberglass. The assembly shows some wear from use and storage. The corners and edges show some wear and chipping due to making contact with the body. The two front most corners show some heavy chipping and exposed fiberglass. The rest of the paint surface shows checking and oxidation, as well as surface scratches. The reinforcements and threaded plates are still firmly rivetted to the under structure of the deck lid. The LH hinge corner will need some repair due to cracking around the mount holes. The weatherstrip will need to be replaced. The deck lid will work for all 1968-1975 Corvettes but there are no hold down bumpers for the soft top, no guide pins and no seat back bumpers.
This is a good original convertible deck lid for your Corvette, please look at the pictures. If you have any questions please contact us. A clear evolution of both the Murcielago and the Reventon, the Aventador dissapointed and wowed in equal measure at its unveiling. Showcasing Lamborghini's newfound love for carbon fiber as well as an exhaustive list of new technologies for their road cars – such as a pushrod suspension – the Aventador certainly has a supercar-style spec sheet. The V12 engine used in the Aventador is also all-new and when combined with the lightweight carbon monocoque chassis is claimed to provide blistering performance, albeit in an unrevolutionary body.
More images of the Aventador, as well as the opinion of Chris Bangle, can be found through the links:

Ford has opened the first dedicated Lincoln design center for 40 years in Dearborn, Michigan, as part of its ongoing brand reinvention. Last August Ford announced it would be creating the studio for its luxury brand as well as increasing spending, giving it unique interiors and powertrains in an effort to differentiate it from the core Ford offerings. The Lincoln Design Studio has been built on the campus of Ford's Product Development center and houses designers, sculptors, modelers and engineers who make up part of a larger Lincoln Product Development team that will create four new Lincoln vehicles by 2015.
