Pagani Huayra Roadster tease…isn’t. It’s just a new set of speakers!

The tease for something new from Pagani isn’t a Huayra Roadster, it’s a new set of speakers from Italian Sonus Faber. Although the Pagani Huayra is still only on the road in single numbers – two years on from when it arrived – we did think a tease from Pagaini for ‘Something New’ at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show may be the arrival of a Huayra Roadster. But it’s not.

Rated: self-braking cars that avoid a crash

The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. P1 reborn: the return of the P1 supercar club

There's been a whopping great global recession, in case you hadn't noticed. P1, which was Britain's original supercar club, was struggling to repay asset finance repayments of £100,000 a month to fund its fleet of droolworthy cars – and nobody would buy supercars when P1 tried to sell. The market for top-end cars had frozen at the exact time that P1 most desperately needed the dosh.Eventually the banks called the loans in, as they had identified the supercar market as wobbly business they didn't want during a banking crisis.
