The 2014 VW Beetle Dune concept is a follow up to the 2000 VW Beetle Dune Concept. The carmaker's compact sedan concept - which measures in at 4,620mm long, 1,805mm wide and 1,425mm high sitting on a wheelbase of 2,700mm - previews design cues expected to feature on the next-generation Corolla. Designed around a theme of ‘Iconic Dynamism', it uses simple surfaces to create a more recognizable appearance that will appeal to a younger generation.
Olympian Hoy dreams of racing at Le Mans
Wed, 09 Apr 2014SIR CHRIS HOY is planning a competitive comeback in 2016, with the Le Mans 24 hours race the target rather than the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. The 38-year-old is Britain's most decorated Olympian with six gold medals, including two at London 2012, and has won 11 world titles. He announced his retirement in April 2013, but his passion for motor racing and competition will be fulfilled after agreeing a deal with Nissan, which will see him compete in the 2014 British GT Championship.
