TEXASPARTS is offering one diesel timing light. This unit uses a transducer clamped on the number 1 injection line to read each pulse of the injection pump for accurate engine timing. This unit includes a timing light and a carrying case. This is the same timing light offered by Stanadyne for their fuel injection systems, but is no longer available from the fuel injection manufacture. This timing tool is supplied with a 1/4 inch piezo electric transducer. The other size transducers are available 4.5,5,5.6 & 6mm adapters at additional charge. Technically, ICE cars can be built to run using hydrogen (and a retro-fit allowing that to be achieved economically would be a huge breakthrough) but car makers are heading down the road of electric cars being powered by a hydrogen fuel cell at the moment. In Toyota’s case, that means a setup similar to their hybrid cars, with a hydrogen fuel cell replacing the petrol engine.

Mon, 12 Aug 2013Land Rover has begun testing an electric version of the Land Rover Defender first shown at the 2012 Geneva motor show. The electric Defender prototype is in service at the Eden Project in Cornwall, U.K., a complex of several large transparent domes that house multiple artificially maintained environments containing thousands of rare plants, and is a popular visitor attraction. At the moment the electric Defender isn't exactly tearing through the Amazon rainforest, but the work it's doing is nevertheless a good approximation of how quite a lot of Defenders are used in real life -- at least in terms of speed and duration of use.
