Oh, puh-leeze: Lighten up, people
Wed, 01 Apr 2009Rarely do I come to the defense of a competitive member of the fourth estate, but the people at Car and Driver are getting the hooey knocked out of them by everyone from "professional media representatives" to the NASCAR faithful. What was CD's egregious sin? Its editors concocted an April Fool's joke with them good ol' boys Chrysler and General Motors as its punchline.
One Lap of the Web: Fastest burger in the West
Fri, 14 Feb 2014-- Orange Coast Magazine has a profile on the mysterious Lynsi Snyder, CEO and heiress to the greatest hamburger in America, In-N-Out Burger. (If you dispute this, I will come to your house and stomp on your perennials.) Fun fact: she is also an accomplished drag racer, racing an nine-second Dodge Dart in the NHRA's front-drive SS/HA class; she also splits her seat time between a 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda and a 1984 Chevy Camaro. In-N-Out also sponsors Melanie Troxel's Dodge Charger R/T funny car, which we assume emits the tantalizing aroma of an Animal Style Double-Double as it races down every quarter mile.
BMW 2-series Active Tourer (2015) BMW MPV scooped undisguised
Mon, 16 Dec 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 16 December 2013 11:00 Munich hopes that this will conquer new mini-MPV territory: the BMW 2-series Active Tourer. It’s the production version of the BWW Concept Active Tourer we first saw back in 2011, and the undisguised version of the car we scooped earlier in 2013. The name will be 'Active Tourer'-suffixed, not '2-series GT' as previously thought. The purists might shout loudly, but money talks, and there’s huge demand for a BMW-badged family car at more mainstream prices.
