Ferrari posts huge profits - by building fewer cars

AP Ferrari today announced an 8% jump in trading profits to €363.5 million in 2013 - despite selling 5% fewer cars. It's all part of the supercar maker's planned reduction in supply to keep values and demand for Ferraris rock-solid, Maranello reported. Turnover and profit all surpassed previous records, despite the reduction in the number of cars built.

Strate College in Paris, France, has released the final video of its Partnership Premium 2030 project created in collaboration with French automaker Peugeot. The culmination of a four month project, this most recent episode from Strate College covers the final designs and scenarios students presented to Peugeot's design staff at the firm's Design Center. The video features excerpts of interviews with the 10 student teams – each comprised of three students – on the French university's transport design course, who explain the rationale behind their chosen individual scenarios and the resulting concepts.

The Lexus LF-A has gone on sale in the Lexus dealership in Park Lane You may be surprised to learn that the Lexus LF-A is actually for sale if you were one of the first to read our report last week that you could only lease the LF-A. But if you came later to the story you’ll know that the lease-only deal applies just to the US. Lexus were very quick to contact us after we published the report (all of ten minutes) to say that it was just potential LF-A buyers in the US who would be constrained to a lease-only deal and that the LF-A was up for grabs in the normal way everywhere else in the world.
