Ford Philco AM/FM/8-track car radio stereo with original speakers and signal boasting antenna. Up for bid is a vintage 8-track/AM/FM stereo with the original speakers. All from a ‘75 Lincoln Continental that still sound GREAT, like they did when they were new. The radio, 8- track, AM and FM all work great and with the signal boasting antenna the radio gets great reception. The speakers are in amazing condition for their age. The little black AM button is broken (as you can see in the picture). After I took the unit out of the dash, I tested it to make sure it was working properly. I hooked the wires back up but the dial face didn’t light up, probably because it wasn’t grounded properly. Because of the delicate nature of vintage electrical devices and the radio having to go through the shipping processes,  I am selling this for parts or repair with no returns. Thanks.

"Room for debate" on minimum driving age increase

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

MOTORISTS are concerned about the minimum driving age, according to new research. More than a third of drivers (35%) think the minimum age should be raised, with 40% of those people believing the starting point should be 21, according to the study carried out by British Car Auctions (BCA). Four in 10 of all people questioned said they felt that a reduction in the overall accident rate would be a welcome outcome of an adjustment of the legal minimum driving age.
