Home-Link  (see Google) allows you to open garage doors and other devices such as gates and control other devices such as lights with additional devices.  Three of the buttons on the bottom left of the mirror (See photos) are for operating your devices and two are for on and off to control the light which tells you it is on and is used to program the Home-Link to match your garage doors/ gates, or other devices.

The mirror eliminates the need for a separate remote which may damage your sunvisor or which can be lost or stolen, thereby compromising the security of your home.  Mirror is self-dimming when another car approaches you from behind at night, thereby eliminating the need to manually flip a lever on the bottom of a manual mirror.  It is manufactured by Johnson Controls and is original equipment on many finer autos.    Condition is like new and it would be impossible to tell it from a new one.

It has a "wedge mount" which attaches to the mirror mounting tab which is already secured to your windshield with adhesive so it is not included with the mirror.  The installation instructions, which are included say, "Wedge mount mirrors are generally standard on vehicles manufactured in the United States, regardless of vehicle make....Using a Phillips screwdriver or a # 20 Torx bit, loosen the screw on the base of the mirror.  After loosening the screw, gently lift upward to slide mirror off of mirror mount."  If you will email me a picture of your mirror mount with the mirror removed, I will give you a money-back fit guarantee.

For the wiring, I usually take my car to a professional installer who charges me $40 and does a factory quality job.  I have bought two of these on E-Bay for my new cars, but I just traded for one which already has one on it, leaving me with an extra.  Ground shipping is included.

Top Gear filming a road trip in Israel & the Middle East As we said back at the end of September when we reported that Top Gear were busy filming for the next series in New York, this is the time of year when Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May get to travel the world playing at Four-Wheel-Whickers. September was the USA – ending up in NYC – and now the weather’s getting cooler in North America they’ve ventured off to the Middle East. It looks as if Top Gear are busy filming an epic roadtrip across chunks of the Middle East.
