Is your fuel consumption not making any sense at
all? If you've just taken your vehicle to the mechanic for a tune-up and still
do not get the miles-per-gallon and engine performance that you're expecting,
then maybe your MAP Sensor has already gone bad. The manifold absolute pressure
(MAP) sensor is designed to continuously compare atmospheric absolute pressure
to the intake's manifold vacuum and then relay the voltage signal or frequency
to your vehicles onboard computer. The computer measures
engine load and subsequently advances or retards the ignition timing based on
such information. If your MAP Sensor goes bad, it will drastically lower your
vehicle's miles-per-gallon and engine performance. The best remedy here is to
have your MAP Sensor, your vacuum hose, and your engine checked for possible
leaks or problems. If both your engine and your vacuum hose are okay, then it's
most probably your sensor that causes the troubles. Thus, replacing it with an
OE part will be your best option to address the issue.

Update: Hyundai releases statement on Calif. lawsuit
Tue, 10 Jul 2012UPDATE: Hyundai Motor America contacted Autoweek on Wednesday with a statement in regard to the case: Hyundai Motor America believes this case has no merit, as our advertising is accurate and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In fact, we've reviewed our ads and think Consumer Watchdog and their client are dead wrong. A group called Consumer Watchdog announced that it is suing Hyundai on behalf of drivers who purchased 2011 and 2012 Elantras based on claims that Hyundai made in its advertising for the Elantra.
Nissan Renault have sold 100,000 electric cars
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Nissan Renault have sold 100,000 electric cars like the Renault Zoe (pictured) Nissan Renault are the only mainstream car maker to have embraced the idea that the electric car is the future, so they’ve been busy building and marketing their EV offerings for a couple of years and have now reached a sales milestone – 100,000 EVs sold. It sounds a lot, but in terms of worldwide car sales it’s a drop in the ocean. Still, it’s an important milestone nonetheless.
Lexus RX 450h SE-L Review & Road Test (2010)
Sat, 18 Dec 2010Lexus RX 450h Review & Road Test There was a time when 4x4s or SUVs or whatever you want to call them were rather utilitarian. Some would argue it took the arrival of the Range Rover in 1970 to combine luxury with the benefits of four wheel drive, although the Americans might take issue with that. As would Jensen, who had the very complicated and very desirable Jenson FF on the road in 1966.
