I currently race at the National level with SCCA in the GT1 class.  This set of Goodyears is the largest size, best performance, and most expensive of the radial racing tires used for the GT1 and Trans-Am class with 16" diameter rims in widths of 10" to 12" up front and 13 inch in the rear. For national racing in the front, I normally end up only using them for a few heat cycles and then replace them with another new set, well before their useful life has ended.

I have one set of Goodyears left: front size: 25.5X14X16 and rear size: 28.5X14.5X16. They are 250 compound and they have only one heat cycle on them plus a short scuff cycle.  These tires are close to like new.  You won't be disappointed.  Most GT1 cars and drivers prefer this compound.  A set of these tires new is right around $1,900 out the door.  If you have any questions, please email me or call 860-741-0049.

I prefer local pick up and have not tried to estimate shipping as you have to be very careful to ship these cheaply.   However I am more than happy to ship any method you prefer as long as you do the homework, I will ship at the straight cost for any fees I incur.  I have found Greyhound to be very reasonable for tires is this size and weight range.

Now that the season is over I normally vacuum bag them and then run them a couple more heat cycles the next season and then sell them in the $400 range.

I do have another set of Hoosier 35 compound still on my GT1 rims. They also only have a scuff and one heat cycle.  However I will consider selling these now with very little use in the $550 range.  Please contact me if you are interested.

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

E-Type Jaguar Silverstone Parade - the biggest in the world As you can’t have failed to notice, 2011 is the 50th Anniversary of the debut of the iconic Jaguar E-Type, dubbed the most beautiful car in the world by none other than Enzo Ferrari. Jaguar has taken every opportunity available to celebrate the half century of the car that transformed them in to a world force – for a while at least – from commemorative books to rallies to Motor Show appearances to…well, just about anywhere they could get a bit of PR. But it’s not just Jaguar who are using the E-Type’s birthday as a way of garnering a bit of press coverage and boosting their event.

The new Noble M600 caught testing in the UK and almost ready to launch Next up for Noble is the M600, which signifies a big leap in target market. The Noble M600 is heading where Lotus did a generation ago with the Esprit – aiming to take on the ‘Big-Boys’. The M600 was out testing in Arizona last year in the company of a Porsche Carrera GT, which indicates just how high Noble is aiming.
