Black spokes, 3" dish
Black leather-grained vinyl grip

There are 3 small hairline cracks in the vinyl steering wrap about 1-inch in length at the bottom of the wheel (6 o'clock position).  See photo.

There is one larger crack, also 1-inch in length, also shown in the photos (8 o'clock position).

I was intending to repair this crack with black super glue, but I decided to show the damage rather than conceal it from the buyer.  There is no reason to repair this other than for cosmetic reasons.  Any black adhesive would make this flaw impossible to see.

Enjoy this forgotten toy car TV show from the 1980s

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

We'd remembered being fans of a car-centered TV show in the late 1980s or early '90s. We'd watched every live-action episode for at least a couple of years. We'd clearly remember begging our mom for one of the toy cars featured on the show.

Chrysler recalls Wrangler, Compass and Patriot

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Chrysler Group said today it will recall more than 220,000 units of the Jeep Wrangler to fix a transmission flaw and 409,000 units of the Jeep Compass and Patriot worldwide to fix a software glitch that could stop airbags and seatbelts from working in a crash. The recalls add to a growing list of safety problems at Chrysler, which stunned the auto industry this week by taking the rare step of rebuffing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. On Tuesday, Chrysler refused to recall 2.7 million units of the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-07 Jeep Liberty, claiming that the vehicles were built in compliance with safety standards and are not more accident-prone than other vehicles of the time.
