Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase (2011) unveiled
Tue, 19 Apr 2011When does a Rolls-Royce Ghost become a Phantom rival? When you add 170mm to the wheelbase and launch the Ghost Extended Wheelbase. At 5569mm long, the LWB Ghost is still comfortably shorter than the 5834mm regular Rolls Phantom (the stretched Phantom soars beyond six metres!).
Car Design Awards China 2015 competition now open

Design students in China are invited to respond to one of the challenging briefs set by carmakers including GAC, Volvo, VW, Qoros, JAC and Geely. This is the sixth time the annual design competition has been held, and students have until 2 January 2015 to submit their work.
Ford's forgotten T-Drive program
Mon, 29 Oct 2012Digital boss Andy Stoy recently passed along this little piece of nearly forgotten Ford history from the early 1990s. We know that our girl Murilee Martin dug this up way back in 2010, but the wonder of the Ford T-Drive system is worth revisiting. According to Drivingenthusiast.com, “T-drive is a system consisting of a transversally located inline engine, a transmission and associated packaging.” The transmission is mounted to the side of the engine, or the back, depending on how you look at things.
