Chris Evans buys Ferrari 250 GT California for £5m
Mon, 19 May 2008By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 19 May 2008 10:36 The ginger motormouth is a well known fan of scarlet sports cars, but even we were surprised when UK broadcaster Chris Evans splashed out £5 million on an immaculate 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder. Evans blew €7,040,000 on the black sports car, the thirteenth of just 56 built. Wed, 16 Jan 2008By Ben Oliver First Official Pictures 16 January 2008 04:07 Cadillac showed three major new models at Detroit, and pulled off one of the show’s few surprises by keeping its new CTS Coupe completely secret until it was officially unveiled. It also revealed the 550bhp CTS-V and the Provoq small SUV concept (see separate story). Although branded as a concept, the striking, angular two-door four-seat CTS Coupe will come to Europe in 2010 and will come here because it is based on the CTS saloon platform which will be offered in right-hand drive in the UK and other overseas markets.

It was laughable (we can say that because, thankfully, we always rubbished the idea) to think BMW would waste an iconic moniker on a baby ‘M’ car. Well’ they’ve made the car but they haven’t wasted the moniker - it’s the BMW 1 Series M Coupe.
