Taking its design cues from the CLS Shooting Brake, the new CLA Shooting Brake will offer a swoopy coupe estate with the emphasis on style rather than load-lugging. Underpinning the new CLA Shooting Brake will be the same platform that underpins the other A-Class models – A-Class, CLA Coupe, GLA SUV and B-Class – and offer the same range of engine and transmission options.

The news came at the suitably swanky Concours of Elegance in Hampton Court Palace, London. Bristol Cars crashed into administration in 2011, but was snapped up by Kamkorp Autokraft, part of the Frazer-Nash group.
